What is lime?

Wikipedia defined lime (fruit) As a citrus fruit, which is typically round, green in color, 3–6 centimetres in diameter, and contains acidic juice vesicles.

Limes are sour in taste and are rich sources of potassium, calcium, magnesium and vitamins (A B C and D). They are often used to accent the flavours of foods and beaverages.
Limes are also excellent source of antioxidants which helps protect the human body by preventing or stopping damage caused by free radicals, or chemicals that harm cells.

Limes are acidic in nature. They help the saliva break down macromolecules of food for better digestion.

Also the presence of flavonoids in limes helps stimulate secretion of digestive juices, bike and acids.

The ample amount of acids in lime also helps in cleansing the excretory system and stimulating bowel activity.

2. DRINKING LIME WATER HELPS REDUCE INFLAMMATION

Taking vitamin C regularly helps reduces the level of inflammation in the human body and since lime has a fair amount of vitamin C, drinking lime water helps reduces inflammation

Adding some amount of lime juices to water helps relieve symptoms of arthritis and similar conditions that cause joint pain, stiffness and other related problems which are causes by inflammation.
